Select IP devices by parameters

The video surveillance system market is gradually switching over to IP equipment. The advantages of digital cameras are well known; they include megapixel resolution, progressive (noninterlaced) scanning, Power over Ethernet (PoE), audio recording and playback in some models, and intelligent image processing in the most complex devices.

The list of IP devices supported in Drivers Pack is available at the Drivers Pack documentation page.

AxxonSoft has developed the Drivers Pack module, a package of drivers with a separate installer which provides support for various IP equipment in all AxxonSoft products, making it possible to quickly augment the lists of integrated devices with the most popular models of network cameras and video servers on the market. The wide spectrum of compatible IP equipment allows the user to select the optimal system configuration for any type of site.

Drivers Pack gives you the option of expanding your system and connecting new integrated IP devices without waiting for the next release of the base product or reinstalling the entire system created on the basis of AxxonSoft software. Putting IP device support in a separate module has made it possible to expand the list of late-model IP cameras and IP video cameras which are compatible with AxxonSoft software monthly and to independently implement new developments in the field of IP technology.

If your hardware is not on this chart, please contact one of our representatives to discuss specific compatibility questions. Many cameras and servers not directly supported can be integrated through customization.

Distribution files for Drivers Pack can be found here.

General Device is a generic driver that supports nearly all devices from a particular camera vendor. A General Device driver has been developed for Axis, Bosch, Panasonic, Sony and Samsung Techwin manufacturers.

AxxonSoft is a member of ONVIF (the Open Network Video Interface Forum), which work toward the development and promotion of international standards for network security and video surveillance system interfaces. AxxonSoft joined ONVIF as a Contributing Member, which enables it to participate actively in the forum’s work and influence the development of the standard. ONVIF compliant devices are supported in all versions of Drivers Pack starting with version 3.1.3.

Additional useful information

In early 2013, the management of the St. Petersburg subway system decided to launch a pilot project for rolling out a smart video surveillance system with facial recognition. Ladozhskaya station was chosen to host the trial installation. If successful, the system would be expanded to another 19 stations. The Axxon Intellect PSIM was chosen as the software to tie the system together.
